While at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, I was struck by the beauty of a climbing, flowering vine that was graceful, bold in contrast, and vivacious. I was intrigued by its beauty and the secrets that it may whisper at midnight, with the moon shining.
During this same time, TV commercial stylist Aubrey Pax, had suggested that I design in black and white. My artwork was about colour vibrancy. I had no idea how to proceed.
As per usual, I allowed the concept of black and white, to expand the idea of what colour could communicate, to include the mysteries of the shades of stark white to the deepest black. Look for our variation on this romantic theme with " Midnight Magic Blue".
With much contemplation and intuitive experimentation, " Midnight Magic" was born.
My hope is that the variations, the subtle strokes of colour will speak to your soul of the eternal mysteries that are ours in the glimpses of " Midnight Magic".
